It is known to be difficult to clean the hot runners of the injection molding machine when conducting color switches, due to the complex structure, like joints, dead corners. Sometimes, it takes hours to purge the hot runner because of the black streaks of generated from the inner residues.

The picture below is a representative case, with clear black streak in the centre of the picture, and the resin is ABS: 280T machine, 50KG raw materials, with unsatisfactory effect.

For time, the hot runner purging compound from SANP Tech. was used, and the hot runner was cleaned with about 2.5KG PC. After subsequent observation, no black stripes appeared again.

The purging compound is specially developed for the hot runner. It doesn’t contain abrasives and will not damage the hot runner. It can quickly improve the cleaning efficiency of the hot runner and reduce the cycle with low dosage.
