PET is one of the most commonly used materials for processing beverage bottles and daily chemical bottles. It has good transparency and impact resistance performance, and is often processed by injection moulding.

Most PET bottles are process through multi-mould methods, it is difficult to change the colour of the hot runners when switching from dark heavy colour to a light transparent product.

Since PET is basically incompatible with other materials, raw and/or recycled PET resin is usually used to clean the screw and hot runner, which is of time demanding and material consuming.

SANP Tech. recommends the use of tailor-made PET purging compound developed for hot runner cleaning. The material does not contain abrasives, environmentally friendly and cleans the hot runner quick.
